The RV3028 RTC breakout is perfect for adding timing to your project and, thanks to the small built-in battery, will keep time when your device is turned off.
The tiny silver oxide battery (8mAh, included) keeps the RTC running when your device (Raspberry Pi or Arduino) is turned off and can synchronize the time when it is turned back on.
