Software

The python library PWM3901 library has been adapted to work also with this sensor and make the reading of x/y motion values and their reading the x/y motion values and their amplitude very simple.

Use the following line at the beginning of your code to make sure it is configured correctly:

Connecting to your Raspberry Pi

If you are not using a Breakout Garden, here is how to connect your Breakout module to your Raspberry Pi.

Our library is configured to use the front SPI slot by default:

• BCM 7 for CS

• BCM 11 for SCK

• BCM 10 for MOSI

• BCM 9 for MISO

• BCM 19 for the INT pin

Here are the pins to connect between your module and the GPIO of your Pi (note that this is the numbering of the BCM pins):

• 3-5V to any 5V or 3V pin

• CS to BCM 7

• SCK to BCM 11

• MOSI to BCM 10

• MISO to BCM 9

• INT to BCM 19

• GND to any ground pin

You can use other pins but you will have to modify them accordingly in your code.
