A really sophisticated and accurate color and luminance sensor that is compatible with Raspberry Pi and Arduino. In addition to detecting RGB color and light level, it rejects 50/60Hz light noise, has a wide detection range and two LEDs for illumination.

This type of sensor is the same one you will find on phones, tablets and laptops where they are used to detect ambient light temperatures and adjust the screen intensity accordingly.

The BH1745 has an I2C interface and is 3.3V or 5V compatible.

It is also compatible with the Breakout Garden. Simply slip it into one of the 6 slots provided before you start developing your project, creating and coding.
