LattePanda launches the first Mu model, its first SoM combining an Intel N100 SoC with a DDR4 SODIMM connector!
LattePanda continues to innovate in the field of x86 single-board computers (SBC) with its latest model, the LattePanda Mu. However, it takes a significantly different approach from its previous boards. LattePanda manufactures Intel-based SBCs, but until now, the company has never tried to combine an Intel x86 chip with a SoM-like form factor. This is an area where Raspberry Pi dominates with its Compute Module boards (including the CM4). This year, LattePanda launched the Mu model, a SoM combining an Intel N100 SoC with a new DDR4 SODIMM peripheral connector! This makes it the first LattePanda board to adopt this SoM form factor, with more than interesting specifications!
This LattePanda Mu x86 Kit is a complete development set intended for hardware developers. It includes:
- The LattePanda Mu compute module
- The Lite Carrier Board
- An active cooler.
It can be used for solution evaluation, prototype design, and many other applications.
Exceptional performance
Equipped with a powerful Intel N100 processor, 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and 9 PCIe 3.0 lanes, this compute module positions itself as a strong competitor to the Raspberry Pi 5. With a multi-core score of 3,115 and a single-core score of 1,217 on Geekbench 6, the LattePanda Mu outperforms notable competitors such as the Raspberry Pi 5, Intel Celeron N5105, and Atom x5-Z8350. Its CPU performance is twice that of the Raspberry Pi 5, making it a very powerful computing solution for many projects.
Technical Specifications
The LattePanda Mu is equipped with an Intel N100 4-core processor, capable of reaching speeds up to 3.4 GHz, ensuring powerful and efficient performance.
