The Raspberry Pi Build HAT is an add-on board designed in collaboration with LEGO® Education to make it easy to control LEGO® TechnicTM motors and sensors with computers Raspberry Pi.
It is specially designed to allow you to realize all your projects Raspberry Pi based on LEGO® creations (remote controlled buggy, game controller, data plotter, ...)
Based on the RP2040 microcontroller from Raspberry Pi, the Build HAT combines the efficiency and simplicity of Raspberry Pi with all the possibilities offered by LEGO® products. It provides four connectors for LEGO® Technic motors and sensors from the LEGO® Education SPIKE line.
The Build HAT fits all Raspberry Pi with a 40-pin GPIO connector, including Raspberry Pi 400 (with the addition of a flat cable or fiber optic cable or other extension cable).
LEGO Technic devices can easily be controlled in Python, as can standard accessories from Raspberry Pi, such as a camera module.
The Raspberry Pi Build HAT power supply, available separately, is designed to power the Raspberry Pi computer as well as all LEGO Technic devices connected to the Raspberry Pi Build HAT.
The LEGO® Education SPIKE Prime set and SPIKE Prime Expansion set include a collection of useful items supported by the Build HAT.
