The Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 has finally arrived on the market, succeeding the much-appreciated 7-inch touchscreen. Compared with the first version, this new screen has been upgraded from a resolution of 800 x 480 in landscape mode to 720 x 1280 in portrait mode. Physical dimensions have also been adjusted slightly, from 192.96 mm x 110.76 mm to 189.32 mm x 120.24 mm.

To connect the Raspberry Pi Touch 2 to your Raspberry Pi, use the flexible flat cable (FFC) and a GPIO connector, both supplied. Two FFC cables are supplied, depending on the Raspberry Pi model used:

for Raspberry Pi 5, use the 15-way FFC 22 (included)

for all other Raspberry Pi models, use the 15-way to 15-way FFC (included)
