The Raspberry Pi 5 features two four-way MIPI connectors, each capable of supporting a camera or monitor. These connectors use the 22-channel, 0.5 mm-pitch "mini" FPC format.
The MIPI interfaces dedicated to the camera and display, which were two-way with a speed of 1 Gbps on earlier models, have been replaced by two four-way MIPI interfaces, now operating at a speed of 1.5 Gbps. This modification has tripled the total bandwidth, making it possible to connect up to two cameras or monitors, or a monitor and camera simultaneously.
Caution: These cables are designed for cameras only, and cannot be used with a monitor.
Caution: They require the use of new adapter cables to connect to the "standard" 15-way connectors with 1 mm spacing found on current products in the Raspberry Pi range, whether for cameras or monitors.
